How do you read drumline cadence sheet music?

I’m starting to get very serious with marching band and I would like to play in college. I play snare, and I’ve been looking at some college cadences and stuff. They are WAY different than my high school ones. Basically, what are all the notes and stuff, like the X’s and diamond shapes, and little squigly lines. I know how to read sheet music, just not like this. Please Help!!!
Well I do know what THOSE are, but I guess I’ve just been seeing some weird stuff… I don’t know how to describe it. Is there a website or a book or something about this kind of stuff? And what kind of rudiments or other stuff do you think I should be practicing so I can make snare in college? I will do whatever it takes!

You don’t know what those are? Well, generally a “x” is a rim-shot and a little ~ looking thing is normally a press buzz unless previously specified.

rimshot= strike the drum head and rim at the same time at about a few cm’s from the bead of the stick
