New Orleans Arena Tickets – Concerts And Sports In The New Orleans Area
March is always a tough month to slog through. The fall has plenty of holidays to look forward to, culminating in December. January is the start of the year, and even February has Valentine’s Day. But March isn’t much of a month when it comes to entertainment.
That said, there is still plenty of fun to be had if you live in New Orleans. There are a number of venues hosting concerts and sporting events this March that will keep you and your friends entertained throughout the month.
To begin with, March kicks off with two dates of performances by alternative metal band Three Days Grace. The rockers will be at the Baton Rouge River Center Arena on March 2, and will follow up with a performance at the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City. Those who haven’t heard of Three Days Grace might not be plugged into the metal or hard rock scene. Those who have know that this is a band that has clawed its way up the charts since the late ’90s.
The band started in Norwood, a city in Ontario, Canada, but quickly found audiences receptive to their emotive hard rock in the States, as well. They’re often compared with alternative metal bands like Chevelle or Breaking Benjamin, and despite the angst that appears on their records, Three Days Grace has achieved a pretty high level of success. By 2007, Billboard had actually declared the band the number one Rock Artist of the Year.
Even though Three Days Grace only has three studio records to its name, those three have attracted packs of enthusiastic fans awaiting their energetic performances. With two opportunities to see them in March, fans should certainly get their rock on. The big question is whether they’ll get tickets before they all sell out.
That takes care of music for the month, but what about sports? Well, anyone who is a basketball fan has a great matchup to look forward to this March in New Orleans: the Cleveland Cavaliers are going to be squaring off with the New Orleans Hornets on March 24. Locals will be showing off their pride by purchasing <a href=”http://www.stubhub.com/new-orleans-arena-event-tickets/”>New Orleans Arena event tickets</a> in advance. The arena is the Hornets’ home turf, so they’ll probably have more people in the stands screaming and shouting in support of them.
Fan support from the stands isn’t always enough to turn the tide of a game, however, and the Cavaliers certainly have quite a bit of talent on their side. For one thing, the Cavs now have Shaq on their bench, who is a pretty formidable secret weapon on the court. They also still have NBA All-Star LeBron James on their team, so the Hornets had better sharpen their stingers and prepare for a tough fight at the arena.
Sports and concerts: That’s quite a choice. You could do both if you have the money for it. Or you could just choose one and save a little. Whichever way you go, you might want to consult StubHub and pick up tickets while they’re still available.
