marching band Help Percussion?

Im a rookie in marching band and im in front ensemble(bells xylophone keyboard instruments) And dont get me wrong its pretty fun but one thing i dont like is that i dont get to march with everyone else. so im going to go out for snare next year and i need some help with my left hand because we have to play traditional grip and its weak.

The only advice I can give is to keep practicing, try to lead with that hand and that’s about it.
